The Subcontractors Legislative Coalition hosted a golf tournament at the Palm Valley Golf Course. We sponsored one of the long drive holes. In this hole, players could choose to participate in our “long drive, short driver” competition. The participants had to try to hit the ball the furthest with a tiny driver. It is always fun to see people’s reactions when they see the “small” driver.

It is also always great to be involved in the community and participate in these events.

Try the Painted Pony (www.painted-pony.com) located in St. George’s burgeoning arts district. Combining a southwestern flare with home-grown herbs and veggies, the Painted Pony is a great place for fresh food.

We’d have to recommend the juniper brined bone-in pork chop with blue cheese walnut stuffed pear, sweet corn bread pudding, and smoked tomato relish. Yum!
